Where Are They Now 2

I've pulled quite a few more photographs, scanned them, and made up this page. Hope you enjoy seeing some more of the items I've made. I did my best on them, sent them on their way ... and (in most cases) haven't seen them since. I hope someone out there, is enjoying them.

Here's a very early PCP in 28 caliber. Cherry stock. 1996/7

A Ranger 97, with side lever cocking. 22 caliber. Some Walnut salvaged from my grandfather's estate.

This is Barnes Pneumatic, Serial Number 1.

A 45 caliber CO2 gun with Girandoni Breech.

I entered the trade, and had this gun on the cover of US AIRGUN MAGAZINE in the Fall/Winter of 1996.

Ranger 97 in 28 caliber

Myself at the Range with the .563 Express

A 20 caliber FT rifle. 1997.

Hard Color Anodized billet aluminum. Barnes built regulator, externally adjustable.

I ran across alot of fine knives, while looking for early gun pics.

This was a great display folder in Austrailan Gold Lip Pearl (I cut and polished from the shell) ... and 14K gold bezel and shields.

Ornate back - engraved detail. Traditional lock back folder mechanism, with mammoth ivory opening stud ..

And high contrast Damascus steel forged blade.

One of these is about 260 years old ...

I made the other one. Can you tell which is which?

They are the receivers for the type of antique airgun known as an "Outside Lock".

This is my version of an Austrian Outside Lock rifle. I made it with a quick fill buttflask, and a tip down barrel for loading. I made the barrel from aluminum bronze. All parts, leaf springs, machine screws, etc., were made by myself. The exercise was to make a pc. which seemed to be an antique.

From the 18th century, to Titanium. This is a button lock folding knife with my high contrast Damascus Steel. I extruded the titanium shells in die sets I made ... and color anodized them. The button lock is a bezel set Onyx stone on this knife.

Another button lock folder in high contrast Damascus. Bezel set release ... and the dancing skeleton known as "Zen Bones" is done in 12K gold repouse'. The shells of the knife are textured nickel silver.

Two early Rangers. I think one's .177 and the other 28 cal.

A better pic of the XXV Magnum

I was quite pleased with this early on. It had a ton of special features. Things like a dead blow hammer, muzzle brake, full shroud system, color anodized receiver, great wood, 25 caliber aluminum bronze barrel. Disappeared into a UPS box - never seen again. It's out there ... somewhere.

Very fine high contrast damascus and Paua mosaic folder. All on a formed stainless steel frame. There's a panel release in the bolster engraved area. Fitted so closely, you can hardly find it when you are holding he knife. The little bottom wheel is the release safety. Inlaid spine. Great pc.

The cover to my gas forge. Hammered Copper mask. You see the fire in the throat of the beast there. The shield keeps the heat off of me, I work thru the mouth, and watch the steel thru the eye.

Another hidden panel release folding Dagger. High contrast Damascus, mosiac scales, relief engraved bolsters on wrapped stainless steel frame.

The Orient Express. Scales covered in engraved Dragons. Jade release button. Nickel Silver domes on a stainless steel frame. Barnes Damascus steel, as are all of the above knives.

Mammoth Ivory scales. Relief carved bolsters. High Contrast Damascus folder.

Some little inlaid folders. A fine grain Damascus, a bold woodgrain Damascus, and ... can't tell on the third one.

This was a really fun project. Very accurate too. An early 45 pistol.

I'm sure I'll run across more things. When I do ... I always wonder where they are now, and if people are enjoying all the hard work I put into them. Ya see ... I didn't get all broken down by sitting around. hahaha. I worked for it!

These pcs. represent a tiny fraction of the total production of similar projects thru the years.
